Tia Giles, AMFT is a compassionate and empathetic marriage and family therapist that is committed to providing a safe space for clients on their therapeutic journey. Tia specializes in body image issues, self-esteem, trauma, grief and loss, women and family issues, teen and adolescent concerns, and emerging adulthood transitions. Tia also has experience working with BIPOC and LBTQIA+ individuals and individuals that struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD and domestic violence survivors.

Tia utilizes a collaborative approach ensuring that the client’s goals and desires are always the focus in the therapeutic alliance. She also has an eclectic approach utilizing strengths-based, humanistic, family systems, trauma informed, psychodynamic, and culturally competent approaches to ensure the therapeutic needs of each client are tailored specifically to the individual. In sessions, Tia provides a non-judgemental space allowing clients to freely explore parts of themselves and/or the systems they are a part of, allowing for exploration into past experiences, current beliefs/struggles, and aspirations. Together, Tia plans to support you in embracing growth, change, and transformation, as you return to and/or become your best self.

Tia is from a small town in Louisiana. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and dog, learning about pseudosciences (astrology, specifically), watching Criminal Minds and other binge-worthy tv shows, and shopping.
